Renuva vs Fat Transfer (Which is better:) ?

Hello all! So Since renuva creates a honey comb like matrix and stimulates fat over the course of three months, wouldnt multiple injections of renuva typically to the face around 4.5cc be better than a fat transfer, cause remember one is stimulating permanent fat production while the otherfat grafting can be lost 30-50% when implanted, thoughts thanks!;

Consider fat transfer a global procedure, where volume is added all over the face (where it once was).  Renuva is more discrete -- a pinch here or there, etc. And it wont have the added benefit of skin improvement you see with fat cells dues to their high concentration of stem cells.  More natural results can be achieved with fat.

I favor fat under most circumstances.  Micro fat grafting techniques achieve 90-95% fat retention when performed by an experienced surgeon.  How the fat is harvested, processed and injected is critical to achieving high retention.  Chose your surgeon carefully.

Obviously, there are multiple options out there for facial volume loss and restoration. That being said as I have been practicing for over 25 years, I am starting to realize that autologous Fat Grafting is the best option available for volume restoration in the face over the age of 40 this is primarily due to facial bone, resorption and facial fat atrophy as we get older. Additionally, fillers can be extremely costly when you start to Nich large volume and most of the time don’t look natural.
