Is there anything, apart from camouflage, that can be done about deep blue inner corners of the eyes? Is lipofilling an option maybe? Thank you for your help!
Answer: Fat transfer The dark blue appearance is caused by not just hollowing but by microvascularity issues. Fat transfer will certainly help. Of course, my answer is assuming you didn’t have HA based fillers such as Juvederm to begin with because this can cause blue discoloration in the area. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: Dark under eye circles - regenerative lipofilling thank you for positing your question. Regenerative lipofilling wil help you in different ways. The volume deficit can be restored and the regenerative cells of the nanofat, like stem cells, pericytes etc will improve skin quality and discoloration. Regenerative lipofilling is using your own cells in a smart way. An approach very different from HA fillers. I hope this helps

Answer: Blue inner corner of eyes Blue discoloration in the inner corners of the eyes, also known as tear trough hollows, can be a common concern. It's often caused by a loss of volume and support in the area under the eyes. Here are some popular treatment options: Dermal Fillers: How it works: Injectable fillers add volume to the under-eye area, helping to reduce the appearance of the blue discoloration. Pros: Relatively quick and minimally invasive. Cons: Results may not be permanent and require repeated treatments. Fat Grafting: How it works: Fat is harvested from another part of the body and injected into the under-eye area. Pros: Can provide long-lasting results. Cons: More invasive procedure with a longer recovery time. Laser Resurfacing: How it works: Lasers can help to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, reducing the appearance of under-eye hollows. Pros: Can address other skin concerns in the area, such as fine lines and wrinkles. Cons: May require multiple treatments and can have a longer recovery time. The best treatment option for you will depend on several factors, including the severity of the discoloration, your skin type, and your personal preferences. It's important to consult with a qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your options and determine the most appropriate treatment for you. They can provide a personalized assessment and recommend the best approach based on your individual needs.

Answer: Lower eyelid discoloration Lower lid pigment changes may increase the appearance of dark circles or a “deep blue” tinge. The pigment may be decreased with topical hydroquinone. If the area is hollow it may be raised slightly with lipofilling. Finally the excess skin may be removed and or lasered to decrease the pigment. All the Best, Dr. J

Answer: Volume Deficiency Hello and thank you for the question. Based on review of your photo, although it is one view and that view is limited, it does appear as though there is lower eyelid and midface volume deficiency which could be contributing to the dark areas you are seeing. There are options available to correct this deficiency, including injectable fillers as well as autologous fat transfer techniques. You may benefit from a detailed consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon.
