Can fillers fill in the hollow space between my cheekbones and jawline? (Photos)

Fillers can be used to fill in hollowness below cheekbones.  Make sure to go to a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is ALSO very experienced using fillers in this area.  Some very excellent doctors just “dabble” in fillers and this area requires a lot of expertise.

Linabina87.  Proceed with caution! You have a beautiful face with well-defined and extremely attractive features. I appreciate your desire to fill-in areas lost from your recent weight loss, however correction should be extremely conservative.  Overcorrection will look extremely fake and detract from your already very pretty face.  Also start out with a non-permanent filler, in case the result is not pleasing to you. Be certain to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist however, consider doing nothing at all! 

The area that you are referring to can certainly be modified with dermal fillers.  Caution needs to be exercised to prevent lumpiness from occurring after filler injection.  The area that needs to be addressed is the hollow area below your zygomatic arch (your high cheekbone) down to the angle of the mandible (your jawline).  A small amount of filler in front of the ear between the zygoma and angle of the mandible will soften the extreme definition that you have.  A bit more filler more anteriorly into the midface will also treat this issue.

Fillers can be used to improve the volume in the area of your concern. However, I would prefer Sculptra to this area as it would give you a more natural, longer lasting result. It will probably be more cost effective in the long run too. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.

The area of hollowing between your cheek bone and jaw line is called the "buccal space", and fillers may be used to improve contour in these areas, depending on your examination. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Your options for filler type include hyaluronic acid fillers which are essentially a gel like product that add volume to a volume deficient area OR a bio-stimulating product such as sculptra that stimulates collagen production over the course of a few treatments. Thanks for your question LinaBina87.  Fillers are the exact treatment to help what you desire for more fullness.  There are many filler choices with varying duration.  PRP can also be used for a subtle effect as a trial without filler also or with filler as a scaffolding for a prolonged effect.  The squareness of your jaw leads me to consider the possibility of overworked masseter (jaw) muscles that may be the effect of teeth grinding causing them to become more bulky.  An examination by a physician experienced in this area can affirm that this is the case and you can get a more oval or heart-shaped contour with Botox, Dysport or Xeomin

Dermal fillers (e.g. Juvederm, Restylane etc) can be safely and effectively used to fill the hollow below the cheekbone and above the jawbone. A few different filler options can work here, best to speak to a highly trained and experienced physician injector such as a dermatologist for optimal results and safety. I'd probably start with 1 syringe of filler per cheek area.

You have a beautiful shape and structure to your face. Yes, you can absolutely gain back the volume that you lost.  It is difficult to tell from the photo if Voluma or Sculptra would be the best way to assist you.  Please consult an expert in injectable fillers for the best cosmetic results.
