I sought out Dr. Barankin for his well-known expertise with fillers. He clearly explained to me all that was involved, realistic expectations, & downtime. I was treated with a few syringes of filler using the cannula technique, & I’m super thrilled with the natural but noticeable improvement. I had no bruising, & was only a bit achy for a day in my cheeks. I have since had Botox wrote my forehead & around my eyes, & the results are just excellent. I’m so happy that I found a true expert dermatologist with great eye, skills & knowledge, & lovely personality too.
It has been a long journey…Dr. Barankin is what every doctor should be…he is a true gift to me…his eye for symmetry is amazing…even more amazing is how down to earth and easy to talk to he is…he gets people…you can’t learn that… I’m near the very end of my journey, and Dr. Barankin has rehabilitated me from mistakes by another…he is always patient, humble & kind…his talents are an extension of his character… I would also like to thank Arlene for being so nice.. .thank you, Dr. Barankin ((hugs))
I have now received 3 sessions of Botox for my migraines & TMJ pains. I’m super happy with the results & with Dr. Barankin and his clinic. The clinic is really nice, very professional, and well trained staff. Dr. Barankin is very friendly, honest about expectations and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I’ll definitely be back, especially since nothing else has worked for me.
Dr. Barankin has been providing me Botox treatments for several years now, and because I've always been so happy with the results & regularly get compliments, I decided to try fillers for the first time. I decided to start with my lips. The treatment certainly hurts more than Botox, but not that much more. There was swelling for a couple days like he promised, and thankfully I didn't bruise. I'm really happy with the results - the lips are fuller, but still natural looking and retained my original lip shape. I'll definitely come back for more lip fillers when this wears off.
I was recommended to see dr. Barankin from a Reddit group for acne scarring. He spent a fair bit of time with me and clearly and kindly answered my many questions. He explained that my boxcar scarring would require multiple and different types of treatments. I have now had TCA cross, subcision with fillers, Morpheus8, and profractional laser resurfacing. I have spent a good amount of money, but thankfully it has paid off with very nice and noticeable improvements. The staff are helpful, kind, & accommodating. Definitely recommend this clinic and dr barankin.
I have received Botox injections for TMJ and migraine pain for the past couple of years with excellent results. My life is so much better, way less pain, no longer visiting the ER , taking way less meds, and much less cranky. I sought out Dr. Barankin after much research and my doctor’s recommendation and I agree that he’s one of the best dermatologists - smart, but personable, & always available and happy to answer any questions.
Dr. Barankin has been treating me for Hyperhidrosis and wrinkles with Botox for maybe 8 years now. He has also helped me with all sorts of medical dermatology issues too. He is not only brilliant, but also truly down to earth friendly. His clinic is clean and beautiful and professional, with very well trained kind and accommodating staff. It’s always a pleasure to come visit him.
Terrific experience with this doctor for Dysport for my forehead wrinkles and also lip, cheek and temple restylane. I had very little pain and no bruising. I’m super happy with the results. He was on time and his staff very friendly and fast. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable cost too.
Dr. Barankin has treated me for the past 3 years for my headaches/migraines, as well as TMJ pain issues. I found him online originally and then asked a few people including my family doctor where to go and his name kept coming up. I was impressed with him from the get go - his confidence, style, & demeanour. My headaches are dramatically reduced in how often and how intense they are, no longer needing visits to the ER. He really has been a game changer for me, and now my best friend who also goes to him.
Excellent experience at Toronto Dermatology Centre. Dr. Barankin is wonderful for his bedside manner and kindness. My skin is now so much better after so many years of struggles. I had deep sore acne, worse with my periods, for over a decade which left me lots of marks and scars and uneven skin. After really listening and asking lots of pertinent questions, he not only cleared my acne, but with several lasers & peels & Microneedling (with both PRP and RF) and more recently subcision with fillers, my skin is looking really good.
Botulinum toxin is a temporary treatment for overactive or enlarged masters, and typically the activity and size will return to baseline after 6-12 months.
A venous lake is a benign vascular growth, most common on the lower lip, and occasionally on the ears or elsewhere. Lip filler would be fine, you just need to be careful not to inject the venous lake otherwise there will be a fair bit of bleeding & bruising. Another option is to do 1-2 vascular laser treatments to clear up the venous lake, & then do your lip fillers.
While many people can be treated with 3 injection points of neuromodulator (e.g. Botox, Dysport, etc), some people have lines/Crow's feet that radiate much further out and could benefit from 5-6 injection points. Best to see an expert physician injector (e.g. dermatologist) for optimal results & safety.
Men typically have much stronger muscles in the forehead and require higher dosing than women. Some men have especially strong frown muscles and may need 70-100 units to knock them out. That said, in some cases, the issue is more related to placement of the Botox. Another option is to try a different neuromodulator such as Dysport which might work better for you. Best to see an expert physician injector (e.g. dermatologist) for optimal results, & to minimize dosing/cost.
There are a couple options for you. One is more units of Botox (e.g. 30-36units), possibly in a couple different areas than you've had done. Another option is carefully placing some filler in that area. In either case, seeking care from an expert physician injector (e.g. dermatologist) should solve the problem for you.
