I have a forehead impression/dent. It’s just something I was born with. Head on it’s not bad but from the sides it’s noticeable to me. I feel like it’s getting more noticeable as I get older. I’m 26. I’m looking into fillers to make it more smooth however I’ve been researching it a lot and hear so many horror stories of injectables in the forehead, lots of people feeling it did more harm than good. Not sure what to do
Answer: Invasive or Non-Invasive Treatment for Forehead Depression? I think you need to decide whether you are ok with a more invasive/surgical approach. If not, the area can be treated with a very long lasting filler such as Sculptra or Bellafill with natural results.

Answer: No - not fillers You have a bone protuberance and the best result will be to adjust the bone. We do these procedures 3-6 times each week and they are very safe. The procedure would soften, feminize, and improve your overall appearance and only takes about an hour.Watch our videos to learn more.

Answer: Correcting Volume Deficits An in person exam would be needed to know exactly where the dent is and how deep it really is. My suspicion is there is probably some prominence of bone at the top of your eye socket- called the supraorbital rim or bar- which is making that area jut out and giving the appearance that you have an indentation on top of it. To correct this, multiple treatments can be considered. If you are opposed to synthetic fillers, then doing a fat transfer to this area may help increase volume, improve skin quality, and avoid using any synthetic material- since it is your own fat. This can be done in the office. See a plastic surgeon in your area for an in person exam and a discussion of different treatment options. Best wishes, Dr. J

Answer: Filler (Restylane, Juvederm, Voluma) for forehead impression This is best answered with an in-person evaluation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. This may be improved with fillers. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results. Best, Dr. Emer
