Getting Botox (Xeomin) at 2 months? Will I look over injected?

I want to get an injection right before I start trying for a pregnancy. I usually get xeomin every 3/4 months, but I have gone 5 months before and see it about halfway worn off.

Thank you for your question.  We do not recommend re-treatment of neurotoxin (Dysport, Botox or Xeomin) before 90 days.  You can have a touch up 2 weeks after, but it is best to wait a full 3 months, so you do not form antibodies against the Xeomin and not have results in the future.

Hi and thank you for your question! As you indicated, each patient might react differently to Botox or other medications in this family and some might see longer lasting results. I have had patients who needed some treatment as early as 2 months, but it is generally takes a bit longer for the results to wear off. The best way to determine is to do an assessment and examination in person. Your doctor will be able to assess the tone of your muscles and determine if you are ready for your next round of injections. I hope it helps and good luck!

If done properly, you should be able to avoid looking overdone with less units. Suggest going to see a local provider for an in person exam

Xeomin injections typically last 4–6 months, but every patient is different; and you could certainly start seeing fading results sooner. If that is the case and your injections have worn off significantly at 2 months, you shouldn’t have a problem getting additional injections. However, if the Xeomin has not worn off enough, you may end up with an over-injected look, so we would recommend consulting with your specialist about that concern before moving forward.

The best time to get your treatment is when you notice the previous one has worn off.  If you are trying to go a little earlier than this your injector may need to alter the number of units used to ensure you are not overtreated.

You can use xeomin if you have muscle movements. If you go with the right injector, you don't have to look over injected.

There's no problem getting your Xeomin treatment a little early than what you usually get, but I would suggest making an appointment with your injector to check on your muscle stiffness and advise if you are ready for an early touch up.
