Is Xeomin a good filler for lines around both top and bottom lips lines?

xeomin is not a filler, it is a neurotoxin that helps to stop muscle movement and improve fine lines/wrinkles in the skin. Xeomin can be used for lines above the lip when injected into the correct muscle. Additionally, there are fillers for perioral lines as well that may be a better treatment for you. Injecting Xeomin, or any other botulinum toxin, to the thin vertical lines around the lips will relax the underlying muscle, which will to prevent the lines from getting any deeper. A filler can also be injected to fill in the actual wrinkles, or even deeper, to help smooth the lines out. Xeomin and filler are a great combination for this area, since Xeomin will help the filler last longer. 

Hi Edy. By injecting a small amount of Botox, Dysport or Xeomin into this area, the muscles will relax, causing the hard, deeps lines to smooth and improving the lines and wrinkles. Fillers are a gel like substance that are injected into the soft tissues of the skin to smooth lines out and replace volume loss. Both treatments can be used to address lip lines.     Xeomin is not a filler. Xeomin is a neurotoxin that is used to soften or stop muscle movement in the areas injected. By doing so it can cause a smoothing affect on wrinkles caused by movement. Filler is a gel-like substance injected directly into or below the skin to lift, fill, soften, hydrate tissue, and correct volume loss/wrinkles. For the area you are concerned with, I will often do a multi-treatment approach. 
-I recommend medical-grade skincare to encourage cell-turnover, hydration, and collagen production. This will soften the appearance and depth of fine lines
-I recommend a small amount of neurotoxin in the upper lip to stop dramatic pursing. This will reduce the movement causing the lines.
-I recommend treating the area with non-invasive collagen and elastin stimulators. Lasers, Broad Band Light, and micro needling will all help to heal/rejuvenate this area from the inside out. 
-Lastly, any fine lines that are left should be easily correctable with filler. I prefer to do filler last in this area, since only a small amount can be used to avoid looking fake or overdone. 
The most long-lasting, most natural results will be seen when all of these are utilized. Most patients will utilize a combination of these treatments. Hope this helps.

Xeomin is not a filler it is a neuromodulator which helps relax muscles. Since constant and repeated muscle contractions cause wrinkles , relaxing the muscles helps reduce lines. So, xeomin can help the lip lines  above and below your lips, but it is not by filling it. 

Thanks for your question.  Xeomin is not a filler, but it (and the other neuromodulators including Botox and Jeuveau) are often used off-label to help soften the fine lines directly around the mouth.  Injecting this area helps soften the "purse" of the lips, like when you drink from a straw.  Over time, the outer fibers of the muscle become a little weaker and help improve the look of the lip area.  Injection around the lip lines is a good preventative technique for younger folks, before the wrinkles really set in, but can be fine for older patients as long as they realize sometimes there are fillers that need to be also added.  Good luck!
