I've been having issues with dry eyes for months now, possibly thyroid or mold related and I want to get Xeomin around my deep eye wrinkles and forehead. Will I have further problems if I get the Xeomin?

Answer: Is it okay to get Xeomin around my eyes if I have problems with dry eye? I would highly recommend seeing a provider who is comfortable injecting around the eyes and can monitor your dry eyes, such as an oculoplastic surgeon. Injection locations around the eyes must be very targeted to prevent lagophthalmos (inability to close the eyes) which can worsen your dry eye.

Answer: Dry eyes and Xeomin Thanks for your question. Xeomin, or any of the other neuromodulators such as Botox or Jeuveau, should not have any effect on the tear ducts or dryness of the eyes. Just make sure you are seeing a board certified dermatologist with experience and a good safety record to avoid problems. I would not risk some sort of Botox party scenario if you are concerned with the health of your eyes. Bring up your concerns with your physician, and they will help you achieve a natural look with Xeomin, all the while being careful not to get too close to the eyes. See an expert and best of luck!
