I wanted to know what I could potentially do to get a more defined jawline. I am considering chin liposuction, but will this be enough or will I need the neck done?

Answer: Understanding what causes a double chin Almost to 100% of individuals, seeking chin and neck liposuction have a fundamental primary diagnosis an undersized mandible.Fat distribution is not what causes a double chin. Most likely if you’ve been at lower weights, you must likely still had the double chin. Liposuction if done well can give quality results that can give partial improvements. This is especially true for people who are chubby and have a good skin elasticity. Young, overweight, people typically get the best results. That said, it is still important to recognize that Liposuction is not treating the primary problem, which is almost always based on bone structure. To get an accurate assessment regarding facial, skeletal structure consider having in person consultations with local oral surgeons or plastic surgeons with cranial facial surgery background.I cranial facial surgery may be more than many people are willing to undergo. It is, however important to recognize that when you choose a procedure that doesn’t treat the primary problem. Patient should only expect a partial improvement. The best results always come from procedures, oriented and treating the primary problem. The process should always begin by having a quality assessment with a clear understanding of what the underlying problem is. There are multiple tissue variables that contribute to facial contour. Bone structure is first and foremost when it comes to the contour of the lower 1/3 of the face. Other tissue variables that contribute include skin, fat, but this one muscle and supper platysmal fat. in the end, these soft tissue structures are fundamentally influenced by what the bone structure is. Consider having consultations with both plastic surgeons and oral surgeons in your community. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
