Hi, I am 40y and 6wks post op lift and augmentation with 285CC silicone implants. I l am satisfied with nipple position, upper pole fullness and scars....however I find my breasts lack volume on the sides. Would this be something a larger implant would resolve? What would help to improve this?
Answer: Implants You are very early in the healing phase and your implants have not yet dropped fully. It is too soon to be considering any revisions. Your implants will settle down and help fill in the area of concern. Once you reach 6 months, then talk to your surgeon about any concerns you have.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Genius574442, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: 6 weeks post op From your photos it appears you are still healing from your surgery and your implants have not yet dropped into place. Your final results can take up to 6 months. I encourage you to give it more time and to discuss your concerns with your surgeon before deciding on any further procedures.

Answer: 6 weeks post Hello and thank you for your question! At 6 weeks post op, you are still very early! There will continue to be changes to the surgical sites as scars and tissues mature and and implants continue to drop/settle (especially if they were placed under the muscle). If this is how you looked at 6 months instead of 6 weeks, then I would recommend an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for a thorough exam and to discuss potentially a wider implant vs fat grafting to any "hollow" areas.

Answer: Breast side volume Hi. At six weeks postop, you can still expect that there will be some changes in the way your breasts look. Your implants will settle a little more over time, and this will likely fill in some of that area to the side of your breast. If, after this happens, you are still wanting more, then you will have to go with a larger or wider implant. Alternatively, fat transfer is a way to give more fullness in this area. I would give it a few months to see the final result from your recent surgery. After that, talk to your surgeon if you want to find the option that would be best for you. Good luck!
