Would an Extended Anatomical Chin Implant helps a recessed chin? (photos)

With your degree of chin recession, a chin implant is probably not the best approach to chin augmentation. A sliding genioplasty would provide a better result with a more natural shape. In addition it can also be used to add some vertical length to your chin would be help the overall shape of your face.

 Chin ipmlants are manufactured in a large array of shapes and sizes, which is best determined at the time of the consultation and examination.  Most modern chin implants are made of Silastic and have extended wings on them which give added width to the chin when patients have a pointed chin.   Hi, I have performed many chin augmentations, over the past 30 years, using chin implants or dermal fillers.  from the photos, your chin is very weak.  When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear
larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face appear shorter which
de-emphasizes the shape and fullness of the lips.  Chin augmentation,
using a chin implant, will add projection to the chin creating harmony and
balance to the lower face.  I have found placing a silastic chin implant through
a small, curved, incisions under the chin to be very safe, quick, highly
effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty that requires bone
cuts with placement of screws and metal plates.  I would choose a different implant to achieve the desired aesthetic result which can vary greatly from surgeon to surgeon.

I would consider an anatomic chin implant with extended wings, and would think that you need at least a large implant, if not extra large.
