I was wondering a price estamite for a minor rhinoplasty. I really dislike the profile of my nose, but the front is something I don't really wish to change. My nose is fairly straight, and I just want minor changes .

With that said it's best to set up a few consultations with different surgeons and make an informed decision based on their experience and speciality in the field. Rhinoplasty prices vary greatly 
because the rhinoplasty procedure itself encompasses a wide range of 
techniques that can be performed to different extents.Therefore the cost
 range is pretty wide from $6000-$12,000. My recommendation is to first 
find qualified surgeons   that are board certified by the American Board
 of Plastic Surgery or the American Board of Otolaryngology. Find one or
 two surgeons you trust, then compare prices between them. Factors that 
influence the price include:
1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight 
stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctors office?
2. Type of Anesthesia -  IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a 
board certified anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist be used, or an 
RN?
    
 
3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best 
trained (and longest) would be a surgeon board  certified by the 
American Board of Plastic Surgery, but also consider American Board of 
Otolaryngology trained surgeons
    
 4. Length and Complexity of 
Surgery - Tip Rhinoplasty only or complete rhinoplasty, open or closed 
technique, deviated septum repair,or breathing problems corrected, , how
 long, ?etc

In my opinion- there is nothing "minor" about Rhinoplasty. Changing one element of the nose- usually requires some degree of change to all associated areas. I suggest you seek an experienced Board Certified PS with extensive experience in Rhinoplasty for a complete and thorough evaluation.

photograph, you may benefit from a conservative dorsal hump reduction.  This can be designed to change your side profile.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after
pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon
and not just a computer animation system. The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

Based on your photos, your rhinoplasty would lower the hump and refine your tip.  Consult in-person with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over your goals, examine you, go over virtual simulation pictures (which I have already done for you), and come up with a customized treatment plan. Go with someone with experience who has many before and after pictures. Rhinoplasty consultations vary in price from free to several hundred dollars, and prices for the surgery can vary between surgeons from a few thousand to as much as 10 thousand based on level of complexity of the nosejob. Rhinoplasty requires a skilled surgeon as it frequently needs to be revised (which can be more than the original surgery) if performed by a less experienced or less expert surgeon.You would expect to pay at least $4000 for the procedure. However, you would benefit from an in person consultation with an experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeon to understand your options.  For cost savings while maintaining the highest quality, consult with a surgeon who owns his own nationally certified center.

It's important to remember that the nose is a three-dimensional structure, you're only focused on the profile component. Rhinoplasty is performed in three dimensions, therefore a full rhinoplasty is required. The dorsal hump is composed of both bone and cartilage which must be shaved down in order to remove it. The  wide nasal tip can be reduced as well. The cost of rhinoplasty is directly determined by time in the operating room, time  under general anesthesia, and  surgeon's fee for performing the procedure. Your pictures reveal a hump on your nose and your wide nasal tip. It is important to know what your goals are for these areas. If you want your nasal tip narrowed there are a number of techniques. As an art student from the LA County Museum of Art, I like to use advanced suturing techniques to make a narrower and more refined nasal tip. I use the FINNESSE technique I invented. I routinely do not pack the nose. Pain is less versus traditional techniques. It is not uncommon for patients to only take Tylenol for pain after surgery. Rhinoplasty is an effective way to improve the profile of your nose to achieve your goals.  Even though the change that you desire on profile is relatively minor, changing the profile view can alter the way the bridge of your nose looks from the front.  By reducing the size of the hump, the bridge of your nose will have a tendency to appear wider in the front view.  Therefore, there is a possibility that your nose will need to be slightly narrowed so that it does not appear too wide after reducing the hump.  In any case, it is important that you seek a rhinoplasty surgeon who understands these relationships.  I would say that this would range anywhere from $5-8,000, but prices will obviously vary.  I would caution you in selecting a surgeon simply based on price.  I would recommend that you find a plastic surgeon who demonstrates a particular expertise in rhinoplasty.
