Hi @DNE! You are able to receive dermal filler prior to hip surgery. Best of luck to you on your upcoming surgery, Dr. Nima!
Thank you for your question. While it is probably safe, it is best that you have your board certified facial plastic surgeon discuss with your orthopedic surgeon so that both can provide you their most information treatment plan. Best wishes,
You should be able to have Voluma placed before most operations including hip surgery. Be sure to discuss sterile technique with your injector and maintaining a sterile field throughout the whole process.
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Treatment with Voluma is safe within a week of your hip surgery, but be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation. The greatest danger with treatment would be the development of an infection which would cause your hip surgery to be delayed. Hope this helps.
Thank you foryour question DNE. I undertand your concern. Voluma is afiller used to enhance the appearance of the face. Having an upcoming hip surgery is not a contraindication to treatment. However it is important to discuss this with your surgeon. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
I would check with your orthopedic surgeon. He or she may even want to speak with your injector. The risk of infection with an injectable, though minor, is real. That's the issue here. Best of luck.
Yes. Just make certain to speak with your orthopedic surgeon first. With any injectable, there is always a risk, though small, of infection. Obviously, this could be a problem. Best of luck.
I would recommend getting approval from your orthopedic surgeon. As long as the Voluma is injected with sterile technique before placement, it should not be a problem. However, there is always a small risk of infection with any filler placement and if your filler was to become infected, it could prevent you from getting your hip replacement until the infection is resolved.
Hi,You should be fine as long as the Voluma area is cleaned with sterile technique before placement. The biggest risk is that if there is bacteria around the Voluma, it can infect your hip replacement. It is wise to let your orthopedic surgeon know and get his ok!Warmly,Dr.Liu
I would say it is fine as long as you won't be prone (face down) during the surgery process (which I doubt).
Thank you for your question. In general, there is no age limit to Voluma. Many women over 60 have been quite happy with the results when Voluma or other fillers are used to smooth out the nasolabial folds and other areas. However, individual outcome depends on the patient's anatomy and...
Thank you for your question. You are early in your post procedure course. Usually the patient sees the start of the neuromodulators, (Botox Dysport, Xeomin), working at day 4. The fillers usually see some result early, but some modulation continues. In our office we have patients come back at...
Hi @Monika84123! I recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices,...
Hello, Thank you for your question. It is completely safe to have hair removal over areas that have filler. It will not effect the longevity. Good luck!
Some injectors inject Voluma in the lower jaw and chin, but it's not the ideal filler to use in this area. If not injected correctly, it can cause a lot of swelling in the injected area. If your swelling doesn't subside, have your provider do a reversal.
Yes... This is the beauty of HA fillers. They can successfully and quickly be reversed with Hylenex or a different Hyaluronidase.
