Thank you for yourquestion. In general, there is no age limit to Voluma. Many womenover 60 have been quite happy with the results when Voluma or otherfillers are used to smooth out the nasolabial folds and other areas. However, individual outcome depends on the patient's anatomy and skinquality. That is why an in-person consultation – or at least aphoto – is so important. We need to be able to evaluate skin laxityand volume depletion in other areas of the face. Depending on yourneeds, for instance, building up your cheekbones and temples with acombination of Sculptra and Voluma could provide enough of a lift tosmooth out your nasolabial folds and would also create an overallrejuvenating effect. After evaluating your facial movement, yourphysician may choose new fillers such as Restylane Refyne or Defyne, which may be better for expression lines because of theirflexibility. In fact, Voluma is the only filler FDA approved for thecheeks, rather than the parenthesis, so a combination of lifting withVoluma and filling the lines with Restylane Refyne may be optimal. Myoldest patient is in her mid-90s and she feels she looks healthierand more vibrant with lifted cheeks and softened lines after Voluma. Looking good gives her energy and improves her self-esteem. This iswhy most patients choose to do fillers – for a refreshed, naturallook.Usingfillers at any age – but particularly in older people who probablyhave at least some degree of skin laxity and volume loss – is anart. It requires a good eye, an understanding of facial anatomy, andskillful injection technique. Please consult a board-certifieddermatologist who has expertise in sculpting the face with Voluma.
Thank you for your question. Voluma is the first facial filler to be approved by the FDA for the non-surgical treatment of the cheeks. It adds volume to the cheeks and the mid-face, which can be beneficial for a 64 year-old because it temporarily corrects the drawn effect on the cheeks and mid-face which occurs as the body ages and collagen production slows. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
Thank you for sharing your question. In general as a person ages the loss of soft tissue and skeletal volume can be profound. Though you have managed your skin well there is little substitute for filler placement to make a person look more youthful. At 64 you can still expect excellent results with Voluma with an improvement in the undereye and smile line regions easily noticeable. Hope this helps.
It's difficult to answer this without a picture. However, Voluma can be beneficial for softening lines and rebuilding support. I often combine with with Sculptra to help rebuild collagen and radiofrequency or ultherapy for skin tightening and lift. See an expert in facial sculpting for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you foryour question cb112852. Voluma is afiller used to enhance the appearance of the face. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs. However Voluma works well in patients of all ages. For more mature patients there is often times more volume loss and therefore more product may be required. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
There is no age cut off when it comes to filler. Restoring lost volume will help you look more youthful. Which will make you feel more youthful. All good things in my book. Just make sure to see an experienced injector.
I don't think age is really a factor in deciding whether or not to get Voluma. Assuming that you are healthy, if you want to look more refreshed then yes, Voluma can certainly help. What's important is how you feel.
Voluma® or Juvederm UP XC® are both wonderful for softening the () parentheses , or nasolabial folds.
The question isn't how old you are but rather how healthy you are, how resilient your skin is, and what your issues are. While it is possible to fill your nasolabial folds with Juvederm (I would choose that over Voluma, which may be too heavy), if you have creases, sagging or volume loss in other areas of your face, that may not be a sufficient “fix.” So, the short answer is yes, you can benefit from Voluma at 64. The more specific answer is that you need to consult with a board-certified dermatologist who has experience sculpting the face with Voluma and Sculptra and other fillers to see what procedures you need to have a satisfactory and natural-looking rejuvenation.
Voluma can do a wonderful job in filling out nasolabial folds, facial hollows such as tear troughs, and building up cheekbones to create a slight lift. Spot treating just the NLF, however, might result in a look that is unbalanced and unnatural. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who's an expert in facial sculpting with dermal fillers.
