I have excess filler that is around my upper lip where I do not want it to be. I have had it dissolved multiple times it helps but I don’t want to keep spending money for it not to work entirely. Was wondering if there was a way I could push the filler down into my lips, massage it, or apply pressure to make it go away?

Answer: Lip filler Hello and thank you for your question. No it is not recommended that you attempt to replace the fillers yourself by any means. The appropriate course of action would be to schedule an appointment with either a dermatologist, or a plastic surgeon who specializes in treating excess fillers. They may be able to inject an enzyme called hyaluronidase, if the filler that you had injected was hyaluronic acid. However, if you had a different filler injected, it may need to be removed surgically.

Answer: Excess filler after Lip augmentation with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella)--reverse with hyaluronidase Firm massage may give some improvement. However, the best way to improve this is to have it dissolved with hyaluronidase. It takes a series of treatments. Best, Dr. Emer
