If it possible for lip filler to travel to the mustache area?

Filler can migrate above the lip. i have seen it. i have treated it as well. its not uncommon. sometimes it depends upon the amount of filler. but thats not always the case. certain filler have a higher risk of migration even in smaller quantities

This may be due to placement and amount of filler. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique is important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question.  Filler that is place into the lip for augmentation does not travel to above the vermilion border.  Overdone lip are exactly that, probably overdone.  Best to consult with an experienced injector who understands lip augmentation.  Good luck.

Thanks for the question. It is unusual for patients to request this and it is usually due to incorrect filler choice, poor injecting technique or trying to expand lips too quickly.

It all depends upon the look you are desiring.  If you put a lot of filler in then you are going to get big lips.  I go for the more natural result look for my patients.  

The look you are referring to is not from migration.  Rather, it is from poor technique and/or too much product.  The ergotrid above the lip should be concave, not convex.  Too much filler in the lip border or lip lines leads to this unsightly appearance.

This unnatural look of the lips after filler treatment is usually due to poor injection technique and over treatment of the lips with filler. Maintaining normal facial proportions is important when treating the lips. Generally, the upper lip is a little smaller then the lower lips.

Whenever the lips are enhanced it is important that symmetry and proportion are considered.  If these principles are not considered than the look is "off".  A good injector must have an artistic eye as well as good training to make sure the results look natural.
