Thanks for your question. I wouldn't worry about how your lips look one day after injections. Asymmetry is common after lip injections due to swelling and bruising. Typically the swelling resolves in a week or two and we have a better idea if there is a true asymmetry. I would plan to follow up with your Plastic Surgeon for a recheck. Best of luck!
Hi,Thank you for your question and sharing your photo. As others have mentioned, it typically requires 2 weeks for all swelling to resolve after lip filler. It does seem like there is prominent asymmetry at the left upper lip but it may be exaggerated or a result of swelling. I recommend waiting 2 weeks and then following up with your injector if asymmetry persists. Fortunately, the asymmetry should be easily correctable.Hope this helps!
The first two days you will experience swelling. Allow the product to settle, 1-2 weeks. If you are unsatisfied with your results you should call your injector.
It can take up to two weeks to see your final results after lip injections due to swelling. I recommend giving it some time. If after two weeks you are still unhappy, return to your injector for an evaluation.
Hello,Yes the photo shows possible a bump on left side of upper lip.I would suggest to see your physician and he/she may massage the lips and it can resolve the issue altogether, if it is done with last few days. I routinely massage the lips after injection so there is no asymmetry or bump after lip injections. All the BestRay Bayati, MDGreater Sacramento Area, California
I would contact your provider and discuss your concerns. It is not uncommon to see some asymmetry immediately after lip injections (24-48 hours) and sometimes even longer due to swelling etc.
Yes I agree this looks a little strange, but I see so many clients that have similar swelling and look completely fine in 2 weeks. Always wait 2 weeks until you REALLY judge your results. Best to call your injector if you have a question!
You do appear to have some asymmetry, possibly due to the nature of how you are swelling. I encourage you to wait until all swelling and any bruising is gone before judging your final result. If you have not already set up a follow up appointment with your injector, you may want to do that and they can evaluate you at that time for any unsatisfactory results. Typically, in my office we have all filler patients return in 2 weeks post injection.
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. Sorry that you are having some concerns about your postprocedure appearance. Swelling is common after treatment with Juvederm, especially when the lips are injected. Swelling may cause the appearance of asymmetry or unwanted fullness. It is too early to judge your final result. Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling to fully resolve and to see your final result. If you continue to have any concerns, please be sure to see your injector for an in-person reevaluation in order to determine the best course of action. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Although your filler was injected just two days ago, it seems unlikely the final effect will be pleasing. The good news is, it will be easily correctable after couple of weeks when swelling will come down. Even better news, it will be done at no extra charge by your injector. Can not imagine otherwise. Good luck!
