I recently got juviderm xc lip injections. I was told by the doctor it lasts about a year...then the other lady in the room said it was "9 months to a year," and now on here and other places online I have seen surgeons saying it lasts 4-8 months, 9 months, a year..which one is it? I understand it varies from person to person but 4 months and a year are not even close.

Answer: Lips lips and more lios So fillers and longevity is an area of dispute for many patients and surgeons. In my experience, when placed around mobile areas such as the lips and eyes which you use every minute, they go away a bit quicker. I tell patients for the lips it is about 6-9 months. Another variable is your metabolism though. This is a sugar that the body already makes and uses so if you are extra active it can affect the longevity. Hope this helps. Best of luck,DrC
