I have always had a little wrinkle in my lips, but now in my 40s, it’s getting worse. My lips always seems to look and feel dry. I was thinking of getting fillers to fill in the lines but I’m worried about them drying out. Fillers pull water and I’m concerned about the moisture being pulled from the surface. Will fillers dry out my lips? Any other suggestions?

Hi there,
The issue with dissolving filler is that it also effects your own HA. You will likely have to add a little more filler in that area. Make sure you go to a Board Certified Injector for best results.
Best of luck!
Go only way to find out if fillers are going to give an improvement is to try it. Based on your pictures, the contour doesn’t look all that distorted. Ask yourself if having fillers every six months for the rest of your life makes sense?

Some patients may metabolize hyaluronic acid faster than others, and they might need to reapply fillers faster. If you feel like your lips are thinner, let your injector know and you could definitively work that out.
