Some patients may metabolize hyaluronic acid faster than others, and they might need to reapply fillers faster. If you feel like your lips are thinner, let your injector know and you could definitively work that out.

You can touch up lip filler whenever you feel it is needed. Typically fillers will last up to six months in the lips, but that varies by patient, amount, and type of filler used. If you are not getting the volume/results you are wanting I encourage you to discuss this with your injector.

To maintain an augmented appearance, most patients get fillers done every six months. The interval between treatments depends upon each individual patients needs, the amount of product used in which product is being used.
If you want more aggressive approach, and I suggest you talk to your provider about increasing the frequency, or the amount of filler used.
A quarter syringe every eight months sounds pretty conservative.
The more typical program would be 1 mL every six months.
