Thanks for your question! It’s common to have bruising and swelling after Voluma injections. The lumps or nodules that you are feeling are common after a dermal filler is injected.  I recommend massaging the area multiple times per day until you no longer feel them.  If they persists, I recommend seeing your plastic surgeon,  Maximum results typically take 1-2 weeks to show. I’d recommend applying over the counter Arnica ointment on the area injected or taking Arnica pills three times a day for a quicker recovery. Good luck! Dr. De La Cruz.

Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your treatment!  Voluma swelling typically resolves in the first 1-2 weeks with softening of the filler taking place over 2-4.  Hang in there and you should see steady improvement as you have already noted in the first week.  hope this helps.

Swelling is common after filler injections, Voluma included. Because Voluma is a bulkier filler lumps can be seen soon after injection. It can take up two weeks for it to settle in. You can do gentle massage in place to help soften things up. If lumps and tenderness worsen or persist after 2 weeks then you should follow up with your injector for an evaluation. Worse comes to worse you can have the filler dissolved using Hyaluronidase. Hope this helps answer your question. Best wishes.

There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Swelling and bruising can occur after any filler treatment and can take up to 2 weeks to completely resolve. I think the best thing to do is followup with your injector with your injectors. The deeper the Voluma is placed, the lest chance for lumps and bumps.

I agree with Dr. Gottinger.  I would give it at least 2 weeks for the post-injection swelling to subside.  The fact that the lumps are becoming less tender with time is a good sign.  If the lumps haven't fully subsided by 3 weeks, I would be re-evaluated by the physician who injected you.  Voluma is a Hyaluronic Acid filler and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.

Hello! thank you for your question. Lumps after Juvederm Voluma injections could be normal as result of swelling over the injection sites. I recommend you to wait a few weeks, do local massages and apply some ice. Hope this improves very soon...
