Its been one week since Voluma and I still have the hard lumps. Its tender but not nearly like before. How much longer will it be like this? I was told to give it 5 weeks for it to take full effect. Thank you!

Answer: Voluma Needs Time To Settle In Swelling is common after filler injections, Voluma included. Because Voluma is a bulkier filler lumps can be seen soon after injection. It can take up two weeks for it to settle in. You can do gentle massage in place to help soften things up. If lumps and tenderness worsen or persist after 2 weeks then you should follow up with your injector for an evaluation. Worse comes to worse you can have the filler dissolved using Hyaluronidase. Hope this helps answer your question. Best wishes.

Answer: Lumps after Lip augmentation with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella) There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer
