So my injection specialist “diluted” voluma filler during liquid facelift. I understand that this is done to thin out the filler. Does diluting the product affect the duration of the overall results ?

Answer: Diluting the Filler NOT RECOMMENDED I have never diluted the filler nor is that recommended from allergan. Make sure you are using a BC dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon as this is not a normal process in my practice.

Answer: Diluted Voluma filler for facelift Voluma is a filler that should not be diluted. To be honest, adding water to it does not make any sense. Will dilution affect the duration of the filler? Probabily not since the added water will be reabsorbed quickly by the skin. My suggestion when searching for fillers is to make sure you get the procedure done by an experienced physician. Also keep in mind that when you open a sterile syringe of a filler and mix it with something else there is the risk of contamination with possible skin infection.
