Voluma aftercare massaging area - OK?

Thank you for sharing your question.  In general I do not ask my patients to massage after filler placement, other than Sculptra.  This is so as to prevent them from either massing the material into an inappropriate location or disrupting the pattern of filler placement.  I would confirm with your injector their desired instructions as they know best what was performed.  Hope this helps.

Great question, depending on the technique your Dr used, they may be hoping that the massage gives you a lift effect.  It will not hurt, will help your skin laxity.  Hope that helps, Dr Violetta Mailyan.

This is not part of my usual recommendation, although there may be a reason your practitioner has recommended this.After Voluma treatment things should look good straightaway, but sometimes a little moulding in the clinic can help to soften the effect if this is needed. If you have quite thin skin it is possible that Voluma will be visible to start with as it tends to hold its shape - in this case moulding it yourself over the first 24-48 hours can help. If you are happy with the result you have I don't imagine that massage will be necessary.
