Not only do endoscopic (and other types) forehead lifts help create a more open appearance to the eyes and brow area, this procedure also does a wonderful job of relaxing the crow's feet and glabellar lines. In fact, the crow's feet lift is one of the huge benefits to the endoscopic forehead lift, especially when the lateral/temporal pockets are lifted and treated in the specialized way that our technique offers. The endoscopic forehead lift really is a procedure that delivers what it promises.
Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this, depending on your exact situation. For less significant issues, there are nonsurgical treatments: To give the eyebrows a nice lift, we use injectable fillers to improve the eyebrow, upper eye, forehead and temple. A filler is placed on the bone and in the fat pads of these areas to contour and lift without it looking overdone. We use cannulas to limit pain and swelling.Surgery (browlift and/or upper blepharoplasty) is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if there is more substantial eyebrow drooping. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Donald Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer
As we age the skin of the forehead area can sag causing lines and wrinkles. A forehead lift (or brow lift) can tighten and smooth the muscles of the forehead and glabellar area giving a very pleasing youthful appearance. It can also improve the hooding of the upper eyelids. Be sure to consult with a surgeon who specializes in Facial Plastic Surgery to go over your best options.
Thank you for your question. Yes a forehead lift correct the glabella lines and forehead lines and improved the crows feet. The results of this surgery depends mainly in the work done in the muscles not in the pulling of the skin
The answer is, it depends. Wrinkles in the forehead and glabella are usually related to muscle hyperactivity, which in turn may be related to brow position or other factors. If the brows have sagged for example, the muscles that elevate the brow compensate and over time cause horizontal furrows. A brow lift in that situation can allow the muscles to relax, secondarily softening the wrinkles. It is something that needs to be analyzed in consultation.
This procedure may be used to correct multiple problems in brow, forehead, temple and hairline. There are many variations of this procedure that may be carefully selected to address specific problem. Most frequent indications are; correction of asymmetric brows, lifting of the brows and shape correction, correction of forehead bone irregularities (forehead bossing), shorting or elongeting forehead, etc. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your question, Jelly- This isn't the most straight-forward question. The degree to which forehead skin is tightened and the lines are removed is dependent on the amount of skin laxity of the forehead as well as the method of brow or forehead lift. The lift itself doesn't change the characteristic of the skin unless a laser or peel/resurfacing is used. This can remove fine lines and wrinkles that a lift wouldn't change. I hope this helps and God Bless!Dr. Robb Jr.
Jelly: A forehead lift typically will smooth horizontal forehead lines well. It can soften glabellar lines if your surgeon is willing to transect the corrugator muscles. It often will smooth crow's feet lines as well.
Forehead lift to smooth Forehead Skin? It will only improve the skin if you have a great deal of excess forehead skin and the Irregular Trichophytic Forehead Incision and Lift is used.
Often the best option to remove wrinkles in this the glabella and forehead is a forehead lift. During the forehead lift the muscles that cause the the wrinkles can be weakened or excised for long term benefits. It is less effective for crow's feet. Crows feet can be addressed during a blepharoplasty, with CO2, chemical peels, or with radiofrequency microneedling.
You have two problems: the upper lid has a slight detachment of the muscle that opens the eyes. This should be corrected to improve the appearance of the eye and look less sleepy (I suspect that is what you mean by looking Asian). Skin needs to removed, more from the nasal area than laterally,...
There is a degree of relapse with all browlift procedures but the trichophytic ( subcutaneous browlift) is an excellent procedure to raise the medial brow. I call it a facelift for the brow. It is a safe procedure and can give excellent results. There is an anterior incision in the hair...
Thanks for posting your photo(s) and inquiry. Fat transfer can smooth out any irregularities of the skin sometimes this has to be combined with a procedure known as subcision. A nonsurgical means of dealing with irregularities is filler injection like hyaluronic acid. I hope this helps...
