Dr Black did an excellent job with my upper Blepharoplasty in May 2025. His staff is exceptionally friendly, the office is clean, and the surgery center was very well staffed. It is a busy office and surgery center. During the consultation, Dr Black communicated very well with me about what could be done and how he would do it. His staff kept me well informed on pre op and post op expectations and care. I wish I had it done sooner. It was painless and I healed quickly. Dr Black even sent flowers the day after the surgery. I think sending flowers was very classy, and it helped ease my anxiety while healing. It is no wonder he is such a well regarded doctor and listed in Hour Detroit’s top docs. I highly recommend Dr Black for any plastic surgery, especially for eyelids.

I met with Dr. Black to get a second opinion on an upper and lower blepharoplasty I had with a different doctor. He was kind and honest and really helped me get the answers I needed. And the office and meeting was very professional. It was a very positive experience and I can see why he is so highly respected!

Dr. Black is an artist, not just a surgeon. Post-surgery, I don't believe I have been able to see so well in years. Dr. Black is a fabulous doctor and a terrific gentleman; the entire staff is excellent. I highly recommend him.

I am 5 months post surgery. My ophthalmologist and a RN referred me to Dr. Evan Black because my eyebrows were asymmetrical due to brow ptosis. Thanks to Dr. Black my eyebrows are symmetrical and my eyes have awakened. I am extremely happy with my natural looking results. Family and friends tell me my eyebrows and everything Dr. Black did looks amazing. People ask me if my eyebrows are real and they are. Dr. Black underpromised and overdelivered. I had the following procedures: Bilateral Endoscopic Forehead Lift and Lower Eyelid surgery with CO2 Laser. During my consultation with Dr. Black he put my mind at ease as he thoroughly explained the procedures and patiently answered numerous questions. His fact sheet handouts were very informative. Dr. Black is an amazing surgeon who is caring, professional, honest, and he does not pressure. The staff at his offices and the surgical center are friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and their follow-up skills are great. Karen at the Troy office front desk was instrumental in reinforcing my decision to undergo surgery; she had the same surgery. Dr. Black was her surgeon. My recovery was uneventful; I did not experience any pain. I will recommend Dr. Evan Black whenever I have the opportunity. He is an AMAZING surgeon!

I normally do not leave reviews but I feel compelled to share my amazing experience with Dr. Black. Dr. Black performed an endoscopic brow lift just recently and I have to say I am soooo incredibly happy with my results. Not only is his specialty plastic surgery he is also an ophthalmologist which proves he is an expert in everything that has to do with the eyes! He takes in your considerations and really tries to make you satisfied. His whole team from his office staff to his surgical center are all so professional and welcoming. The anesthesiologist was so comforting, I normally get so sick from anesthesia but this time I did not. Will 100% recommend Dr. Black to anyone considering a brow lift or any cosmetic eye procedure!

My Ophthalmologist (Dr. Ayad Farjo, who is also wonderful) referred me to Dr. Black for repair of the tendons of my upper eyelids.

Dr. Black confirmed Dr. Farjo's diagnosis and medically necessary and clearly explained what needed to be done.

He also noted that I had excess fat below my eyes that could be treated by an elective surgery in conjunction with the eyelid work.

The entire process from the beginning until my final appointment was terrific. Each visit all my questions were answered and his team, from the front desk to the operating room, were consistently kind and helpful.

The eyelid surgery has significantly improved my vision.

I have received so many compliments from friends, neighbors and family. My out of state cousin wants to have an appointment with Dr. Black.

My neighbors and friends said that I didn't look like I had surgery that I just looked rested and all of them wanted Dr Black's number.

I realized how good the surgery was when I went from looking in the mirror seeing my mom's eyes to seeing my daughter's eyes.

Every day when I look in the mirror I'm glad I had both procedures.

My entire experience with Dr.Black and staff was so easy!! Pre op, surgical and post op was exactly as they said and my eyes look great! Healing time was minimal and minimal discomfort. I feel so happy about my decision to do this!!
