My side profile has always bothered me. I don't mind my look from the front as much. Do you think I could get a better side profile from buccal fat removal, chin augmentation and rhinoplasty? Or is there a way to achieve a better profile without surgery? Maybe kybella for the chin and non surgical nose job?
Answer: Rhinoplasty and chin augmentation There is an intricate relationship between chin and nasal aesthetics, and how changes in the shape and projection of one could influence the observers eyes with regard to the other. Thus, it is quite common to perform both surgeries at the same time on the right candidate. Buccal fat pad removal is quite distinct from an aesthetic analysis standpoint. They all can be performed on the same patient but obviously a thorough analysis including photos, in person examination and discussion of goals, expectations and limitations is paramount in making the most suited decision for the patient.

Answer: Rhinoplasty, chin implant, and buccal fat removal Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. Posting photographs would help in giving you accurate advice. In patients with a large nose and retrusive chin, this combination of surgery can be beneficial. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Chin augmentation, buccal fat removal and rhinoplasty? Nasal cosmetic surgery, a chin implant and buccal fat contouring are frequently performed together in the appropriate patient. The ideal aesthetic result should be individualized to achieve harmony with your other facial features and improve the areas that concern you.Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. The extent and length of the procedure, cost, and the specific operative steps to achieve an ideal cosmetic result vary from patient to patient and would depend on the findings at your consultation examination. Answer: Profile changes All the procedures you mentioned can definitely affect the profile of your face, however it is best to have an in-office examination to evaluate your facial features and match the treatment plan with your goals if feasible. You may find that you do not need all these procedures to reach your goals or you may find surgical and nonsurgical alternatives as well. Once you have all the information, you can make an informed decision on how to achieve the profile you are looking for. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Plastic Surgery@drjohnsonlee
