Ethnic rhinoplasty: Is this still swelling if so how long? (Photos)

Whether you have an ethnic rhinoplasty or traditional rhinoplasty, swelling in the tip area of your nose is very common at the 4 week point. It can take up to one year before all of the swelling is gone from the tip of your nose. Thick skin typically takes the longest. There is nothing specifically you can do short of taping your nose which helps with edema and swelling if that is ok with your surgeon. Otherwise, I would maintain close follow-up and follow his/her instructions.

As others have mentioned it is still early in the healing process and swelling after rhinoplasty can persist for several weeks to months after surgery.
