Very trust worthy and highly competent Dr. with high ethical standards and expertise in his field. Genuinely looking out for his patience 's best interest and desire to want to make people feel better about themselves!
My experience with this procedure was amazing! My breasts have never looked better. Even my husband is enjoying them ;) I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little self confidence "boost" and I highly recommend Dr. Commons
I’m sure there are many of us who share the same annoyance – the stubborn “double chin”. I was self-conscious since I was young and it doesn’t get any better after I gained weight over past several years. I couldn’t smile anymore to the camera without looking up to it or Photoshop the extra chin fat layer off. It was a big turn-off and I finally decided to do a more aggressive action after failed many “chin bandages”. I did my research and contacted many cosmetic surgeons on RealSelf. Some never replied and others charge $150 for a consultation. I decide to consult with Dr. Commons for his “top doctor” status and good reviews. Dr. Commons is very warm, knowledgeable and professional. It was very easy to make an appointment with him. During the consultation session, he answered all my questions and showed me many “Before/After” photos. He explained to me how the procedure would be done in details. I felt very safe and confident about the procedure after talking with him. I pretty much made the decision to go for it on that day. It’s been a week since I had my surgery and I had my stitches removed today. Dr. Commons did wonders to my face. I could see the results immediately the day after the surgery. My mom said I look like I’m in my teenage years again. Even though I’m still swollen and bruised, I can clearly see a nice jaw line now. It will take some time for the swelling to completely go away, but I’m confident I will get that oval face with defined jaw line I longed for. I love it and can’t wait to take pictures again with family and friends. I will update with my “before/after” photos after my swellings are gone, which will be in a few weeks.
I have hated my lovehandles since being a teenager and they have ruined my ability to love myself. I finally realized I am not getting any younger and I need to do this for myself. Dr Commons along with Dr Boudreault did lipo to my sides/flanks/lateral thigh and transferred it to my butt. During the consultation, Dr Commons listened to what I wanted and took many pictures, had them printed immediately, and went over exactly what would be done by marking the pictures. This was extremely helpful in imaging the outcome of my procedure. He answered my questions thoroughly and gave me a reasonable quote. Scheduling the surgery was easy and required a $1000 deposit. I went to my pre-op and met Dr.B who was super friendly and had some great suggestions on how my body should be contoured. The anesthesiologist called to introduce himself yesterday. Today I had my procedure, and I was very impressed on how the surgery center was ran. I only got good vibes. I was nervous but the reassuring staff including the nurse made me feel like I was very safe. The procedure took a little over 4 hours and I woke up in the compression garment in the post op room. The nurse was a kind lady who let me know my sister was on her way. I went home 1.5 hours after the procedure and have felt pretty good all day. I am able to eat, walk around, and lay on my stomach comfotably with a pregnancy body pillow and a boppy pillow. I know tomorrow will feel different, but so far so good. I have been taking pain meds and took nausea meds only one time. Updated on 9 Jun 2016: This morning was my first day post op. I was very surprised at how comfortable I slept and I was able to make breakfast for my family and my fiancé helped me shower with baby wash. I went to my first appt and met with both doctors that worked on me, and they said I am healing very well. They confirmed that about 715ccs and 780ccs were transferred in order to make my butt even. I feel like the recovery process has been an easy one so far and I hope it continues to be that way. Here are some pics from this morning. Updated on 11 Jun 2016: Yesterday was very difficult because I had a migraine from 3am-6pm and the pain meds hardly helped. I had not gone to the bathroom for 3 days and I was feeling very painful because of that. I was in bed all day because I could hardly stand. Milk of magnesia didn't help either. I was thinking maybe I was having caffeine withdrawals. I decided this morning to drink a cup of coffee, well I only had to drink half to get the job done. Now I have no pain whatsoever, and I can finally get my house cleaned since I'm the only one who lifts a finger around here :/ I'm just so glad the pain is gone. I did tell my dr I didn't want any extreme results or a huge butt, just a little more shape than what I already had, so I am happy with the results so far.
I wouldn't let anyone else touch me. Dr. Commons facelifts are natural, he doesn't give people a pulled, unnatural look, he just achieves helping people look 10 years younger. His facelifts last about 7 years. I was apprehensive having a 3rd facelift, but in 7 years will hope he is still practicing. None better than Dr. Commons, in my opinion.
I found Dr. Commons here on RealSelf website based on his great reviews. I decided to schedule a meeting for my Liposuction and brought my husband with me to the meeting. He took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. We both felt that he is professional, knowledgeable, and honest. After the surgery, he followed up with me many times (at the beginning almost every week) and was always very supportive, creative and careful in each step of the way. Dr. Commons is one of the best surgeons you may fine. Look no further. I am beyond thrilled with the results. The recovery was very quick. I am very glad we decided to go with dr. Commons. His staff, Irene and Pegi, are wonderful and extremely efficient. I lost 9 pound during the surgery and 8 more pounds by now (9 months later) by changing my eating habits and adding more exercise to schedule. Thanks to Dr. Commons who gave me tons of motivation, I now look slimmer, feel more energetic and I love the look at the mirror.
The procedure was smooth. Pain is controlled well with medication following surgery. It takes 3 weeks for the bruising to go away and the swelling gets better over the next few months. By 6 months almost all the swelling is gone. The tiny scars were almost invisible by 9 months. All in all, it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
My lower face, including neck was really starting to go south. (sag) I'm very active and on the thinner side and had lost a lot of fat in my face and checks. This was adding to my face looking longer and hallow. I was hallow in my temples, my checks had lost their sculpted definition and appeared flat from the profile and I was developing jowls. I had seen Dr. Commons for liposuction and knew he was a great surgeon so I went back to him to discuss my needs. He spent a lot of time consulting with me through many rounds of pictures, discussions, emails, more visits and more discussions. He never lost patience and talked with me through the process so that I had all the information I needed. He took such good care of me in every way. I am so happy with my results and know I picked the right doctor. I know I was under the care of a gifted surgeon and plastics practitioner and have no regrets and know I was well cared for in the operating room. Knowing what a big step this is in ones life, I would encourage anyone searching for a talented Plastic Surgeon to consult with Dr. Commons. I did and I'm so grateful.
Hello Realself fam ! Getting ready for Mommy Make over! Its been a roller coaster for the passed few weeks not really knowing what size Implants to get!! And if I wanted a lift or not. Doctor George Commons is THE BEST!!!!! Updated on 13 Jun 2014: Body is healing well … I had no pain meds at all today… I didn't feel I needed them plus my Doctor said if I was going to be driving not to take nothing , so I was outside for a while today and still no pain now ….. Still want to get to 132 so I will be Happy with that but in time after body my recovers… I'm 5'4 so can go down a few pounds…
8 months ago Dr. Commons did a full tummy tuck, lipo on thighs, tummy, hips, back and arms, and a fat transfer to a lopsided breast. I couldn't be happier, he did an absolutely stellar job. The entire process was smooth and easy as his besides manners are stellar and his staff is above and beyond any another practice out there. BUT suddenly, my new youthful body no longer matched my aging face so this time, I went straight to him and we decided on taking a bit of fat left from my tummy and transfer it to my face as well as doing a deep plane facelift. So it's been 3 days. I look and feel like I've been hit by a truck of course but I can already see that my neck is tighter and smoother, that the bruising is already fading ad that everything is on its way to look more youthful. Make no mistake: Dr. Commons is a realist and very conservative in its approach so he won't make you promises to go from Quasimodo to Angelina Jolie and he certainly won't go scalpel crazy on you. He will simply aim to slow down the clock and make you look rested and youthful. Like you, but better. That is what is has done for me and I am tickled pink with he results already. His post op care is off the charts, he makes it sure that his patients are his number 1 priority and will go out of his way to make you feel comfortable throughout the whole process. You can't go wrong with Dr. Commons. Updated on 26 Feb 2014: After a facelift, do not - DO NOT - sleep flat on your back. The fluid will accumulate in your face, the swelling will be so intense your face will feel like it's about to crack and split open. It took me all day of drinking water and staying upright to get things to calm down and boy do I feel stupid now, lol. Still bruised. Still swollen but less. And I worship the painkillers prescribed by Dr. Commons. Can't wait to see my new face emerge, though. Updated on 28 Feb 2014: Today is Friday, it has been exactly one week and this morning I look like a drowning victim... Seriously wth??? Last night the Milk of Magnesia finally kicked in so I will spare you the details except to give a comparison: Have you ever seen a fire hose operating at full strength? Yeah... That was me. All evening, most of the night. So for comfort, I didn't want to sleep all alone in the recliner, I decided to sleep in bed with my husband and prop myself up on the zipped off half foam wedge I had used when I had my tummy tuck. Bad idea: I slid down the wedge in my sleep and ended up flat so again, this morning, fluids accumulated in my face and I look like a week old drowned walrus: Bloated, purple, blue, black, greenish... NASTY. I hate this!!! I guess the plan today is to take my anti swelling pills, stay upright and drink a ton of water. The upside after last night though: my tummy is flat as a pancake, smooth, firm, like a good tummy tummy tuck should be lol. Still... I have a life to go back to, I need thus to heal, already...
The skin is in considerable excess in overweight patients. When a large volume of fat is removed the skin must adapt. The will take a year or longer to accomplish. You will improve with time
This is not a common problem and must be seen by the doctor that did the fat graft. If this is a remnant of the fat it can be reduced by steroid injections. My Best, Dr Commons
Your nose has some entities that can result in a nice nose if fixed. You need it narrower by a little, the dorsum reduced a little , the nasal bones narrowed a little, grafts of cartilage from ears to edge of nostrils to limit the alar retraction appearance. This combination should result in a nose you will like. My Best. Dr Commons
You need 5 to 8 incisions to do a quality job. I do not think it is possible to do abdomen and thighs with one incision near the umbilicus. Don't focus much on incisions. They are small and in the long run mainly go away. Go for quality and honesty. My Best, Dr Commons
You are way too early to worry about minor differences in the treated areas. Time corrects most of these. Massage also helps. Talk to your doctor. You will be fine. My Best , Dr Commons
