I am 5 days out of tummy tuck surgery and I'm needing to wash my binder that's holding my stomach.. When can I wash my binder

Thanks for yuor inquiry, please call your surgeon to make sure you are ready for yuor compression to come off even to wash it.  Ony he/she know how your course is going.  If you call, I am sure the office can answer, good luck.

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photograph.  If your binder has become soiled you should be able to wash it now and simply replace it when dry.

It is best to check with you surgeon to be sure that you are at a point in your recovery that you can go without a binder.  Also, check for specific washing and drying instructions, as different products have different materials and hence, require specific, and different care.Congrats.Se

Binders should be washed as soon as they get soiled to prevent any type of infection. You can just throw it in the washer and then dry it and put it back on. It will not hurt your results to remove it for this short period of time.
