I am aware that this is something that can only really be properly answered with consultations and/or pictures. However, in general, in a young woman (24) who has few signs of aging but naturally flat cheekbones, how much volume in the cheekbone area would be too much? I am set to have one syringe in each cheekbone to begin with, but we have discussed that I will likely come back for a second appointment. Would a further whole syringe in each cheek be too much for my face and cause distortion?
Answer: How much Voluma will be too much? Thank you for sharing your question. Based on the contouring and lifting goals you are hoping to achieve, one syringe per cheek is a good starting point. Hope this helps.

Answer: How Much Voluma Is Too Much? Better Start With Too Little Than Too Much With Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero) A liquid facelift using dermal fillers such as Voluma is a terrific way to correct early signs of aging, such as a slightly sagging face due to flat cheekbones. Start with a syringe per side, give the filler about a month to settle in, and then add more, if desired. You don’t want to try to fix the problem all at once by injecting as much filler as possible. That’s how you get a very unflattering and unnatural overfilled look. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at creating natural-looking liquid facelifts for young people with flat cheekbones.

Answer: Facial Contouring and Sculpting with Fillers (Juvederm Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, Radiesse, Bellafil), Implants, Sculptra or fat It is difficult to say without any photos. However, it is common to use 1 syringe per side to add more volume and highlight your cheeks. Facial sculpting and contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: A little at a time I love Voluma for creating cheekbones! I myself am very flat in that area and use Voluma more to create a cheek than to correct aging. It is hard to say without pictures if 1 syringe is too much or not enough for you. I think the best approach is to use one syringe first. Take a good look...what you see is pretty much what you get with Voluma so the nice thing is that you will know right away if you like the look. One syringe of Voluma has 1ml of fluid. A teaspoon has 5ml so it actually does take a lot to look overdone. If you're feeling nervous, bring a friend who will give an honest opinion.

Answer: Voluma to Contour It’s always a good idea to start conservatively. Work with your injector and be sure to communicate clearly about your desired results. Starting with 1 syringe and letting the results settle is a good approach. You can then decide if you’d like more to achieve the contouring results you’d like. Remember, it’s always easier to add more, than to have to remove product.
