Juvederm and seborrheic dermatitis?

Hi. I am 44 years old. I have a history of facial seborrheic dermatitis. My skin seems to react to a number of skin care products most people have no difficulty with. I recently lost 60lbs and my face has “deflated” somewhat. I’ve been considering Juvéderm Voluma to plump up some of the areas of volume loss. However, I am concerned that my seborrheic dermatitis will increase the chances of an adverse reaction. Is it safe, or recommended that I try Juvéderm at all with my condition? I

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  All filler placement requites meticulous attention to detail and prep.  If this is provided to you by your injector there should be no issue with your seborrheic dermatitis.  Hope this helps.

Yes, you can have Juvederm with seborrheic dermatitis. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
