Not necessarily. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Regardless of where it is placed, deep or more superficial, Voluma is a thick filler can last up to 18 months. However, Voluma is supposed to be injected into the deeper tissues and that's why it works so well for cheek augmentation. If you are unhappy with your result, you should return to your injector who can examine you and dissolve the product if necessary.
Hello! We're sorry that you had a less than stellar experience with Voluma as it is an excellent product when used correctly. Fillers that are injected superficially have a texture similar to pudding, this gives a more malleable feel that resembles soft tissues. Voluma on the other hand has a thicker texture similar to Jell-O. This product is less malleable and is intended to stay in place on top of bone (deeper than tissue). That is why it is a great product for cheekbone enhancement. You can go to a medical provider and they will use a product to dissolve the filler (hyaluronidases) and that should help take care of the problem. Unfortunately Voluma can last up to 2 years despite the placement so you must take care of it soon. Best of Luck!Glow Med Spa Encino
Thankyou for your question. Voluma should be injected deep otherwise as you are aware it can be visible and lumpy. It will not last a shorter time but if you are unhappy then you should return to you injected and get some of it dissolved to flatten the lumps.good luck
This may be due to filler placement. It will gradually resolve or you can have the filler reversed. I recommend following up with your injector about your concerns. Hope this helps.
I’d guess your issue is more related to the tear trough filler than the Voluma. It’s difficult to tell based on your photos. I’ve seen tear trough filler last for several years. I’d follow up with your injector. Best wishes!
Thank you for sharing your question. Biofilm reactions can be difficult to eradicate due to bacteria being present anywhere filler remains. Until the filler is appropriately dissolved, and antibiotic therapy appropriately targeted, it may persist for a very long time. After such a long peri...
