Capsular contracture, is a lift necessary? Replacing implants to a bigger size. 160 pounds, 5'7". Would 600 or 60 cc silicone high profile implants and a lift be proportionate for me? Currently have 475 cc silicone implants under the muscle with small capsular contracture. One pregnancy and breastfed. Can I get by without a lift? I'm 40th are old.
Answer: Breasts No, you need a lift. The 600 cc implants may be too large and heavy for your tissue and stretch and thin your more so you will just sag even more with time. Keep you size and get a lift.

Answer: Breast lift or implants alone Dear Ailegm, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs. Answer: Do I need a lift? Breast implants provide volume but little lift. Larger implants will not pull the lower part of your breast substantially higher. To achieve a more youthful nipple position and shape to your breasts would require a lift.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method Your breasts are too low on the chest wall and the nipples are pointing downward. At this time, I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Capsular contracture For capsular contracture, you need to remove the current implants, remove the capsules, place new clean implants and in your scenario likely perform a mastopexy. You need to see an expert in breast surgery. The solution is definitely not placing larger implants.
