I got my breast implants in 2015 and was really happy with the results. In 2018, I had a child and the left implant shifted. I want to get the left one fixed. I talked to the doctor who performed the procedure and he told me that he would insert some sort of mesh in it in order to fix it and keep the implant in place. I got a second opinion from another doctor that did another procedure on me and she said that she’d stitch the skin down under the implant.. I’m wondering which option is best
Answer: Implant shifted. What is the best option to treat this? The most reliable way to reposition your implants would be to use a mesh. There are a variety of meshes available, but all are costly. Depending on the integrity of your tissue, a mesh is not always necessary and many patients can achieve a successful repair with the use of internal sutures alone. To make this decision does require formal examination and evaluation of your tissue. You have already had two opinions. You may want to seek a third.

Answer: Implants You have some bottoming out of both your implants probably with swelling and stretching of your own tissue with pregnancy. I would suggest going with smaller implants. If your underneath tissues are thin, add the mesh. Mesh does gives good early support, but is expensive and does increase the risk of capsules.

Answer: Implants This is a complex problem to fix. There appears to be a double bubble deformity on both side with a much higher double bubble on your right. This requires likely downsizing the implant, putting an internal support system in addition to tightening and/or changing/releasing the capsule. You need to see a certified expert in this category. In your area, I recommend William P Adams Jr or Louis Strock.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Intellectual5049, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Implant shifted. What is the best option to treat this? You have a typical double bubble deformity which is commonly seen with submuscular implants where the muscle has become detached . I could be corrected by re suturing the muscle or by placing the implants above the muscle
