Can I get a breast implant revision done if I have Essential Thrombocythemia? (photos)

Question

I am 39 years old had a breast lift with implants done about 8 years ago .I was recently diagnosed with Essential Thrombocythemia and was put on Hydroxyurea capsules. I found this out after doing a pre-op blood work to get breast implants replaced with liposuction. I was told by the plastic surgeon to get my blood platelets down in order to have surgery done. I just want to find out if it ok to get surgery done? One of my breast is bigger than the other, I really need it fixed

Dear Cuteker,  Whether or not to proceed with surgery on a patient with higher risks than usual is a very individual decision by each surgeon. Some doctors are willing to accept more risks than others. In my practice, I require patients to get medical evaluation and clearance from their specialist treating the issue and then decide whether or not I am comfortable with the risk.
