I would go back to the doctor who performed the procedure to assess you. It would be highly unlikely that the post-procedure lumpiness that you got right after your treatment is the same finding you are experiencing a year later. Best of luck!
Lumps that went away and then came back after miraDry, especially this far out from your treatment, are unusual. You should follow up with the physician provider who performed your treatment to be examined.
The lumpiness is tissue induration. It is unusual for this to persist or recur at one year.I have done miraDry since May 2011 and have not seen this to occur. That's why we use citrus bioflavonoids like swell-x pt in our practice. It reduces such inflammation and induration after miraDry.H Karamanoukian MD FACSPlatinum Plus Provider for miraDry since May 2011
Hi, I would recommend returning to the office where you had the miraDry procedure a year ago. It is best to be reassessed by your provider.
Thank you for your question. miraDry is a procedured that has been approved by the FDA that offers permanent results. It works on sweating and odor by using electromagnetic energy to eliminate or damage the sweat glands. Once the sweat glands are eliminated or damaged they do not regenerate....
From what Miramar, the company that makes miraDry, tells us, they should have the protocols in place soon to treat the hands and feet. This is obviously a concern for many people. Stay tuned.
MiraDry reduces underarm sweat by 82% as well as reducing odor. The swelling varies from patient to patient. We recommend arnica after each treatment we offer. the swelling will resolve.
