Hi doctors, I have dry armpits but a bad onion odor coming from them . I had one mitadry treatment at a level 5 but that didn't help the smell at all. Is precision tx a better option for me?

Answer: MiraDry destroys both eccrine and apocrine sweat glands eliminating hyperhidrosis and bromhidrosis miraDry helps reduce bromhidrosis quite effectively. As it reduces hyperhidrosis, it reduces moisture related bacterial growth whcih promotes malodor. It nonselectively destroys the 3 types of sweat glands: apocrine, eccrine and apoeccrine. 90% of my patients require a SINGLE miraDry procedure to treat hyperhidrosis.68% of my patients with ISOLATED bromhidrosis need 2 or 3 sessions to reduce the severity of the odor. Brmhidrosis is a challenging problem to treat as it is a multifactorial problem as noted above.
