At this point in time miraDry is only FDA approved for the underarms, I have heard though that it is still being reviewed by the FDA for the hands & feet
Hello J_TN.This add-on is not available yet and it has not been cleared by the FDA. My guess is that hands will be approved first, but we shall see. It's only FDA cleared for underarms right now.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)
From what Miramar, the company that makes miraDry, tells us, they should have the protocols in place soon to treat the hands and feet. This is obviously a concern for many people. Stay tuned.
You can get miraDry in this area in Europe. Not FDA cleared in the US.The company is very hush about this new device. Not helpful when I enquired. At the present time, the best option, however, is Botox injections.H Karamanoukian MD FACSPlatinum Plus Provider for miraDry since May 2011
miraDry is only approved for the underarms (axilla). In the future, I am sure the makers of miraDry will be coming out with a treatment similar to address excessive sweating to the hands and feet. For now, my PA's and NP do Botox to those areas for temporary relief. Hope this helps.
miraDry is only approved to treat excessive sweating in the underarms. In the future, miramar will most likely introduce the treatment for hands and feet.

Thank you for your question. MiraDry uses heat energy to target and destroy sweat and odor glands. Once the glands are destroyed they do not come back. Most patients see a 75-82% reduction in sweat and odor after their first treatment. Swelling immediately after the treatment may result in n...
Thank you for your question and for sharing your story. I would not undergo a 4th treatment. You would to be evaluated to determine which parts of the armpits continue to produce sweat (and odor). We have performed many miraDry procedures, and I have only had to operate on two patients. O...
