I've had the run around if I had symmastia or not. No one listened to me or was worried about my concern. I went ahead and had BA. What are my options? Can't find anyone who can help or advice on what I can do to fix/help or someone to point me in the direction of someone who can help. Just embarrassed and upset, it seems no matter what I do to feel better about myself it's like it was just not meant to be to love my body. I went from 34 A to 445cc UHP silicone implants
Answer: Congenital synmastia Good afternoon! You do have some congenital puffiness/synmastia or whatever you want to call it, and it predictably got worse with implants. I fix a lot of synmastia and ion your situation I would recommend the following: 1) vertical liposuction only in the very very very midline, because you have some spongy subcutaneous fat there that is creating the look of the synmastia 2) the Original Internal Bra is then used to tack these tissues down, otherwise they just swell up again and nothing changes- the Original Internal Bra is my strong permanent internal suturing technique which I first developed 20 years ago and is now the most common revision procedure I perform, 5-6 times a week. I have used it to repair as many as three synmastia patients in a single day- it works and it lasts- it will provide you with a normal, one finger gap between your breasts!

Answer: Symmastia Dear itzel.linda1, Symmastia is a rare breast condition that occurs when soft web-like breast tissue pulls breast implants towards each other, until the breasts meet uncomfortably at the center of the chest near the sternum (the body’s midline point). Given this abnormal union, symmastia is known by many other names, including breadloafing, kissing breast implants, and the uniboob.Unfortunately, this condition causes the surrounding skin and pectoral muscles to literally lift off the breast bone as the implants are pulled together. This consequently causes pain and discomfort, as well as obvious distortion of the breasts, which can only be disguised with clothing that does not show cleavage. You should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for proper assessment. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Not truly symmastia You have developed tenting of the skin between your implants, it is not truly symmastia. This is actually common in patients with a tight skin envelope and usually nulliparous. The treatment is a 2 step process: 1. Remove the current implants and repair the skin tenting. 2. Re-insert new SMALLER implants that will not stretch the skin out again after waiting a minimum of 6 weeks and preferably longer. These are both outpatient procedures with a quick recovery, but basically you are starting over from scratch. Good Luck!

Answer: Symmastia Sorry for your problem and if your skin easily lifted off your sternum prior to surgery you were at a higher risk for symmastia but it can be corrected. So go on some complimentary consultations with experts and compare recommendations after a full examination and discussion of desired results and look at photos of similar patients and become fully informed about the desired procedure Dr Corbin

Answer: Augmentation Mamaplasty It is really difficult to determine if you truly have a mammary symmastia. It appears that your chest wall is slightly narrower that the base of the implants, consequently they impinge on your cleavage. A peroneal visit with your plastic Surgeon can determine the proper location of your implants and determine if any revision is indeed necessary.
