I am 5'6, 115 lbs and used to have 400cc implants. Last year I had a double mastectomy and now 480cc implants. I told him I wanted to be smaller than I was before but now I am almost exact same size. These are too big, and saggy, and I want to go smaller. Can someone have a breast lift after a DMX and reconstruction and get smaller implants?
Answer: Breasts Yes, you can request to have smaller implants that fit your frame and tissue better. I suggest going back to your surgeon and discussing this.

Answer: Large implants reduced and mastopexy Large implants can be reduced and a mastopexy can be performed at the same time. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs but it can be done. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear svande01,breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Going smaller after reconstruction Thank you for your question. You can absolutely go smaller even having 480 implants. The pocket and excess skin may need to be removed. The excess skin maybe utilized as an internal sling for more support. I recommend consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area who is also a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic surgeons for a consultation. There’s nothing wrong with getting a second opinion If your current plastic surgeon is unable to provide you with what you’re looking for.
