Hello,I am going to get a breast implant exchange. My current implants are 400cc saline and 11 years old. Im going to get silicone but trying to decide on a 550cc or 600cc. I'm currently 5'8" 140 pounds.
Answer: Implant size Hello, thank you for your question and the pics. I wouldn't recommend you go so high, 500 to 600 cc implants are very heavy, and on the long run, they will excerpt extra weight and tension on your skin. Another thing is that the bigger you go the more probabilities for long term complications. Finally, My best advise is for you to play a bit with projections, rather than going a lot higher in size, the bigger you go on an implant, the wider it gets, so, looking at your current result, if you go bigger, you would probably go outside your chest dimensions. If you are 400 cc High profile, try switching to maybe 430 or 450 extra high profiles. the idea is for you not to focus on a number, but rather in the end look your looking for, so you could be more open when you discuss it with your surgeon.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear Mamad2015, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Reaugment There is virtually no difference between these alternatives. However, you have a nice result and enlargement will result in too much breast for your frame.

Answer: Implant exchange Based on your photos, and just limiting the answer between those two sizes, I would say that you are likely to be happy with either size, really just being a difference of only about 10%. But a jump from 400 to one of these sizes is about a 50% increase in size, which may be too large for your own anatomic dimensions, as well as the significant increase in weight, which will cause your breasts to sag or droop. I would keep these factors in mind more than the trying to decide between the two sizes you inquired about.
