35 yrs old, 5'4", 138lbs, very athletic. I had 2 children and breast fed. I went down to an A cup from breast feeding. I currently have 450cc hp silicone (a year and half now) and am looking to go to 550cc hp silicone. Would it be noticeable enough/ worth having surgery? I am looking for fullness. Are 550cc implants too big for being athletic? What is the recovery time for a revision like so? I attached a picture of a bra from Victoria Secret Perfect Shape. That is what I want them to look like.

Answer: Revision from 450cc HP silicone to 550cc HP silicone. Would it be noticeable at all? Is 550cc too big? Thank you for the question. Keep in mind as you are thinking about your goals that sometimes adjustment of the breast implant pockets (capsule adjustments) may be necessary to achieve the outcome you are looking for. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "noticeable” or "D or DD cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to revisionary breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast Implant Exchange in Melbourne, Florida Ultimately, only you can decide whether a certain size is right for you. Often the best way to determine this is a complete consult with your board-certified plastic surgeon, including trying on implants in a bra in the office. Unfortunately, it is impossible to compare a picture of any patient with a picture of any other patient, model, or photo from an ad or magazine in order to approximate the necessary implant size and surgery as each patient’s anatomy is completely different. Also, patients who are more athletic sometimes do not prefer implants that are as large as 550 cc due to difficulties with their athletic activities related to having larger implants and therefore, larger breast size; however, this is ultimately a matter of personal preference. Hopefully this is helpful and best of luck to you!
