I'm currently on POD#4 after my bilateral breast augmentation with Dr. Lynam, and everything is progressing smoothly! I’m beyond excited about my new body. While my breasts are still sitting high and wide (I went under the muscle), I’m confident they’ll settle beautifully as they drop and fluff. The pain has been very manageable—mostly just a feeling of tightness in my chest. I’m eager to return to my normal routine, but I’m trying to be patient and not overdo it. I’ll try to update this review as I continue to heal.
My Journey:
I’ve been a lifelong member of the itty bitty titty committee and spent years trying to embrace my body while also wishing for a more feminine silhouette. After wearing push-up bras and inserts for what felt like forever, I finally decided it was time to either fully accept my flatness or take action.
I discovered Dr. Lynam while searching for a surgeon nearby and was immediately drawn to the natural results in his work. Scheduling a consult was easy, and I appreciated how much time he took to help me choose the right size and go over measurements. His bedside manner is fantastic and I never felt pressured in any way. After sending photos of my goals, he had a great idea of what I was going for.
Initially, I was set on the transaxillary approach to avoid visible scars, but after some soul-searching (and way too much internet research), I realized the inframammary approach made more sense—especially as a yogi, since my armpits are often exposed more than my under-bust. I reached out to the office to discuss the change, and they were incredibly responsive, even scheduling a follow-up call that same week.
Choosing a size was another challenge! I wanted a natural look that suited my petite frame but was also wary of going too small and regretting it later (boob greed is real!). I sent multiple emails to Lauren, the patient care coordinator, full of size anxiety, and she was amazing throughout the process. In the end, I chose Motiva Demi Ergonomix 285cc under the muscle. Right now, they feel a bit big, but I started with almost nothing, so I’m confident they’ll look just right once they settle in and I get used to the new look.
If you’re like me and have spent years stalking plastic surgery websites, unsure whether to commit—just go for it. Life is short, and people will have opinions no matter what you do. Prioritize your happiness.
Updated on 28 Apr 2025:
I can’t believe how quickly the past two weeks have flown by! Healing has been much easier than I expected. My breasts are starting to drop and soften nicely. I haven't needed any pain medication since day three, and the incisions already look fantastic. I’m incredibly impressed with Dr. Lynam — he’s so meticulous, exactly what you want in a plastic surgeon. My breasts are very symmetrical, and I didn’t have a single bruise on or under them. At my one-week follow-up, Dr. Lynam was reassuring, and I really appreciate his evidence-based approach to post-op care. I've mostly just been able to go about my life with only minor modifications. I couldn’t be happier with my experience so far!
