Hi I’m male 34 and it’s 4 days that i done abdominoplasty . Since I’m not that comfortable with my surgeon ( because he’s kind of religious and I’m single ) , I want to know when I can have sex or masterbution Thank u already for your answer

I would tell my patients that this should be fine after all of the incisions are sealed and the drains are removed. This is usually at about 10 days.

Thank you for your question. This is a common question a lot of patients ask. Typically, you may enjoy sexual activities as your body allows with the following restriction: avoid straining and any aerobic activities for 3 weeks after surgery. This is to avoid bleeding, bruising, and swelling. Do not resume strenuous exercise for 4 to 6 weeks. Your doctor will give you a recovery protocol to follow and let you know when it is safe to do certain things. Thank you for your question.  I tell my tummy tuck patients that its 4-6 weeks before they can return to all regular activities.  This includes sex/masturbation.  Engaging in vigorous activity before then can result in seroma/hematoma and wound breakdown.

Each patient's recovery is unique but there are general guidelines you can consider with normal healing.  After two to three weeks patients can return to work and non strenuous activities.  Light exercise can resume after four weeks.  After six weeks patients are cleared for strenuous activities which includes sex.
