Your plastic surgeon would be able to answer this best, knowing your specific surgery and healing situation. I don't think it's a good idea to masturbate before the drains are out. At that point, it would be perfectly reasonable to ask your plastic surgeon if you still need to wait until the third week.

Hey buddy thanks for this question. It is always best to wait until the drains come out before any type of sexual activity. Some patients are very gentle when they masturbate others not so much. When your surgeon removes your drain, it is a good time to address this concern. Good luck. Dr. Aldo

I usually tell my patients to hold of on activities for a t least 4-6 weeks, every surgeon has different post op care instructions, please consult with your  PS about this.

I would tell you to hold off.  Movement and shearing forces can prolong your recovery and rarely cause serious complications like a hematoma or tearing of the muscle repair.  Consult with your plastic surgeon but my guess is he/she will reiterate the same things

Thank you for your question.  I would confirm with your surgeon his/her particular preference, but I would recommend holding off on any strenuous activity for at least 3-4 weeks.  This can be particularly risky if you still have drains; they can get tangled and pulled on accident.
