One side of my scrotum feels normal, while the other side is hard and still sore. Is this just the lingering effect of post tummy tuck/ with Lipo surgery? Or something more serious? Thank you!
Answer: Testicle issues after tummy tuck Thank you for your question regarding the fact that you are three weeks post-op from a tummy tuck and that the swelling in your scrotum has gone. However, one of your testicles is very hard and sensitive, and whether you should be worried. Your complaint regarding one testicle being very hard and sensitive is concerning. You must follow up with your plastic surgeon. The pain in your testicle could be due to swelling. However, it could be something more serious, like testicular torsion. Testicular torsion is when the spermatic cord is twisted, and the testicle runs out of blood supply. Testicular torsion is similar to an incarcerated or trapped (non-reducible) hernia. Testicular torsion could also be due to a suture, tension on the spermatic cord, or pinching of the spermatic cord. Therefore, most plastic surgeons suggest you contact your plastic surgeon ASAP. Thank you for your interesting question regarding one testicle being very hard and sensitive three weeks after an abdominal plasty. Or tummy tuck with liposuction. Good luck. I hope I have answered your question regarding the fact that you are three weeks post-op from a tummy tuck, and one of your testicles is very hard and sensitive, and whether you should be worried. Answer: 3 weeks postop. Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your tummy tuck procedure! After three weeks much of your scrotal edema and swelling should have subsided, or improved dramatically. I would reach out to your surgeon to have an in-person evaluation performed to ensure no other issues are taking place. Hope this helps.

Answer: I'm 3 weeks post-op. The swelling in my scrotum has gone away, but one testicle is very hard and sensitive. Should I be worried? HelloIt is important to know that in front of any concern you should always call your doctor and let him/her know about it. Based that you're still in the swelling process it is common to happen and may not be something to worry about. But I still encourage you to visit your plastic surgeon so that he/she can evaluate you again and know what any other issue you may have and treat it. Best wishes.Regards Dr. Israel Mañon Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Scrotal swelling Congratulations on getting your body contouring. Scrotal swelling is not uncommon after an abdominoplasty, but it is usually uniform. I would encourage you to be evaluated promptly, to assess your scrotum and make certain the firmness is not attributable to the testicle.
