Can you use 1 single syringe of Juvederm for both face and lips?

Question

I typically purchase one syringe to fill my facial scars and generally about 1/2 a syringe does the trick. I have also been interested in using Juvederm for my lips, but don't know if I want to take the full 1 syringe plunge since it goes so far for my face and I don't want obviously large lips for my small face. Can she use half of the syringe on my face and then use the remainder to give me an idea on how I would enjoy Juvederm in my lips?

Hi,Thank you for your question.As others have mentioned, it's difficult to say without photos to assess your face.Generally speaking, half a syringe of Juvederm is not much volume and will give a very subtle enhancement. Most patients will require 1ml of filler but you can always start with 0.5ml. This is something that your injector should be able to do after a thorough evaluation of your facial proportions to make sure you are a good candidate. Lastly, there are many types of Juvederm fillers. Please discuss with your injector whether the product that is being used for your scars is also suitable for the delicate lip tissue.Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question!  You may use 1 syringe of Juvederm for both your face and lips. However, a proper evaluation would be necessary.  You can discuss with your injector the look you are trying to achieve that way they can determine the right amount of filler for you.  All the best!

Unfortunately without an examination or pictures it is difficult to give you a definitive answer, but depending on your desired results 1 syringe can sometimes do the trick for both face and lips. Please keep in mind a full syringe although it looks like a lot is less than a teaspoon of product!

Without posted photos, and of course benefit of physical exam- it's difficult to give the best answer. You can certainly split 1cc syringe of product - however keep in mind that it may not be enough in order to reach your goals. I suggest that you discuss it with your Injector

It is definitely possible to use one syringe of Juvederm on the face and the lips.  There are different types of Juvederm however, and some may be more appropriate for the face and others for the lips.  Discuss this with the physician who will be treating you and you should be able to find a type you can use on both areas.

Yes, it is safe to use the same syringe on the same patient to inject two different locations.  Be sure to discuss your treatment goals with your injector.  One half syringe of filler for the lips will be a conservative amount.

Without a picture of the area and in person exam it is difficult to say whether or not 1 total syringe will be enough to split between the 2 areas. You are able to split the syringe between different areas but it may not be enough to achieve you desired result. I would recommend talking with your injector as there are different types of Juvederm. Some are better used in different areas of the face.

Hello there! Absolutely! You may want more than just .5 cc's of product, but starting with that amount will definitely ease you into the process.
