I got one syringe of filler about 2 months ago for my chin at a reputable place in the city. I had the usual swelling, pain and no bruising but now a couple of months passed and out of no where it started to hurt a lot. As if I hit my chin really hard. Now it’s a tiny bit swollen and the area feels very hard and stiff, like a rock. Feels as if I just got the injection. I’m very concerned that I’m getting these symptoms months later. My under eye and cheek fillers are completely fine.

Medications such as Advil are blood thinners. They can increase your risk for bruising and bleeding during your filler treatment. An alternate choice until after your filler treatment is Tylenol (acetaminophen) which does not have blood thinning properties.
