Dermal Fillers
Q What treatment will help fix my significantly uneven nasolabial lines? (Photos)
A

Based on the images provided it's difficult to make a full and accurate assessment as to whether this is caused by a volume deficiency or is a result of muscle movement with animation. If in fact the asymmetry is caused by volume deficiency, filler can be used to correct this. I recommend you seek an in-person consultation with an experienced and licensed provider in your area.

Botox
Q Help? Botox filler or vitamins for this rapidly aging face? (Photo)
A

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to make a full assessment based on photos alone; however, there are a few educational points to make in terms of aging. After the age of 30 collagen production decreases at rate of 1-3%, additionally we begin to experience bony resorption, ligamentous laxity and fat pad migration. While the filler can address the volume loss and neurotoxin is preventing deepening of lines and wrinkles, the overall skin health is not being addressed. For overall skin health and rejuvenation I recommend two things. First, medical grade skincare. Start with a vitamin C serum, retinol, and I cannot stress this enough -- daily sunscreen! This is something you can do for your skin twice a day to help protect and nourish aging skin. Second, I recommend ablative procedures to induce collagen stimulation. My two favorite procedures are the Halo laser and micro needling. I recommend an in-person consultation with a provider in your area to determine if you are a candidate for above mentioned procedures and to counsel you on risks indications and benefits of treatment. Hope this helps!

Microdermabrasion
Q What treatment should I get to better my skin? (Photo)
A

Thank you for your question! Broadband Light(BBL) is a great treatment for your concerns. It targets pigmentation(browns and reds) in the skin. We typically recommend a series of 4 treatments for correction and maintenance treatments twice a year. It is best to consult with a licensed provider for more specific treatment recommendations. Best of luck!

CoolSculpting
Q I had an accident in December 2019 and I broke 10 of my ribs. I would like to do some abdominal CoolSculpting. Is it OK?
A

Thank you for your question! It is perfectly safe to do coolsculpting this long after a fracture. The treatment is not typically done directly over bony areas. It is best to consult with your provider on their specific recommendations. Best of luck!
