Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Candidates for Buttock Augmentation surgery desire an enhancement in the buttock area to offer a more balanced, defined or shapelier contour to the body. There appears to be two different groups of patients seeking the procedure. One group of patients is younger and has goals of transforming their bodies into more curvaceous figures, like popular Hollywood stars, J. Lo or Beyonce Knowles. The other group of patients is women that have aged and would like to restore a more youthful backside with buttock fullness to replace now sagging areas. Men have also been requesting buttock implants as well.

Hi Sandy, Thanks for your question and photos. You certainly are a great candidate for liposuction and fat transfer or BBL. An in person examination is required to get a better assessment of the amount of scar tissue that you developed after your original liposuction or if laser or Ultrasound was used which creates more scarring when performing a revision. You may not have as much fat as you would like placed. So your surgeon could give you a better explanation about what you could realistically achieve by having a BBL. Good Luck.

Hi and great question.  I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure.  Based on your photos, I think you are a good candidate for a BBL.  The main questions we need to ask are:  1) Where (in what areas) did you have the liposuction? 2) How much (Volume or CCs) of liposuction was removed? 3) What is the quality of the fat that is remaining?  An in-person consult would be needed to answer this.The other question is:  What are your goals (How big do you want your butt to be)?  Depending on how big you want your butt and how much good quality fat is available on your body; we may want to discuss combination procedure (butt implants and fat grafting).  Again, an in-person consult would be needed to make these determinations.Your last question was, "Would it be worth it"?  Based on your photos alone, you should have a nice result in my opinion.  Based, on the RealSelf "Is it Worth it" an overwhelming majority >90% say, "Yes, it is worth it!".Best of Luck!Matthew J Nykiel, MDBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonButt Augmentation Specialist#RealSelfTopDoctor#RealSelfCoreDoctor
